Baltimore's Fireboats

..The 30 foot, 1,500 g.p.m., Fire/Rescue Boat No.2 (Reserve) is identical to Fire/Rescue Boat No.1, with both being built at the same time. The No.2 boat has also been in service with the Baltimore City Fire Department Marine Division for more than 3 years, serving her entire career, to this point, at the Fort McHenry Fireboat Station.
..This vessel is equipped in the same manner as the No. 1 boat, and in addition to being placed in service when the 1st line boat is down for repairs, it can also be activated as a second boat for training sessions, or major marine incidents in the harbor.

Fuel capacity - two tanks with total capacity of 150 gallons of gasoline

Maximum speed - 40+ m.p.h.

Propulsion - Two (2), Honda BF225A, V-6, 4-stroke, gasoline outboards, rated 225 HP. each.

Fire pumps - one (1) Hale, single stage centrifugal, rated 1,500 gpm. at 150 psi., driven direct
------------------by a GM Marine 350, V-8 gasoline engine

Discharge outlets - six (6) 2½”, 4 on aft work deck, and 2 on forward deck

Monitor pipes - one(1), Akron, on forward deck

Foam - 15 gallons of 3% AFFF ( three 5 gallon buckets )

Hose - 250' of 1 ¾” + two 8' sections of 1 ¾” to direct from boat
