FIRE BOAT STATION
..In October of 1937, the Baltimore City Fire Department Marine Division occupied our current Fire Boat Station at Fort McHenry, Locust Point. The station was built and is owned by the City of Baltimore, on property leased from the Federal Government under the jurisdiction of the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, Baltimore District.
..This station is a 61’ x 31’ two-story, wood-frame structure that replaces the original one-story fire boat station that had served the Department at this location since May of 1917.
