..In 1954 the City of Baltimore received their first order of Peter Pirsch pumpers, with Engine Co.6 placing the first one in service on December 6th. A total of nine were placed in service during the decade of the 50's. A 1,000 gpm. pump was now standard, with the water tank being dropped back to 200 gallons. Gone were the old traditional "Baltimore baskets" above the hose bed, and compartments now began to be installed around the rear wheels. The 1954 and 55 models had the rounded front fenders. Engine Co.6, 8, 28, 42, and 54 received this model. Pictured is Engine 42, placed in service June 2, 1955.

..The 1957-58 Peter Pirsch pumpers had the square front fenders, and Federal Q siren installed. Engine Co. 33, 36, 44, and 51 received this model. Pictured is Engine 36, placed in service November 8, 1957. Most of these Engines served well into the 1980's as reserves.
